Registration for Faith Formation (preschool thru adult and sacramental preparation) kicks off the last weekend in August.


Classes meet weekly September through May.


You will find all the forms for registering for all sacramental preparation  and faith formation sessions, preschool thru adult and for  RCIA for adults and children and folders with  schedules  on the table in the foyer.

 

We meet every Tuesday evening, 6:00 to 8:00 pm and those who are preparing for 1st Eucharist/1st Reconciliation, Confirmation or Children's RCIA also meet once a month, normally on a Sunday, for that particular preparation.

All children and youth preparing for sacraments must be enrolled in faith formation.


There is a fee to register. The registration fee covers the cost of materials needed for faith formation. If paying the registration fee would present a hardship for your family please note that when you register.

Catechists Adults interested in passing on their faith to children ranging in ages from pre-school to the 12th grade, as well as, adults. Classes meet weekly from September to May, and require preparation. Training is required and will be provided.

About registration and classes

Baptism Preparation Team Adult individuals or couples formed in faith to help prepare families for the sacrament of Baptism of infants and young children. Training required. Baptism classes offered monthly.

 First Eucharist Catechists Prepare baptized children 7 years and older to receive the sacrament of First Eucharist.

 Confirmation Prepare youth 16 and older to receive the Sacrament of Confirmation.


Youth Ministry Adults willing to be role models for parish youth to share gospel values, catholic social teaching, and be involved in service and worship activities. 

Additional Essential Ministry Opportunities to Aid the Catechists.

Substitute Catechists, Catechetical Aids, Safety Monitors, Snack Coordinators, Special Event Volunteers: Halloween Carnival, Youth Retreats, Chaperones and RCIA sponsors. 


If you returning catechists and those who are interested in being a catechist - please watch for the catechists' training sessions in the bulletin. Although the schedule ( when it comes out,)  calls on specific catechists for each session, please choose the session that is convenient for your schedule.

 Adult Confirmation If you are an adult and have missed receiving the sacrament of Confirmation, please see the sign up sheet for Adult Confirmation during our faith formation registration.

 RCIA for Adults
If you are interested in becoming Catholic and have never been baptized or have been baptized in different denomination, please register for the RCIA (Rite of Christian Initiation for Adults) during our faith formation registration.     ADULT RCIA meets every Sunday at noon in the upper conference room of the parish office building.

 
We also offer ADULT FAITH FORMATIONon Tuesday evenings that coincides with our young people’s Faith Formation classes.

YOUTH THANKSGIVING RETREAT

Traditionally Our youth group participates in a retreat on the weekend, prior to the Citywide Thanksgiving Blessing project.  In 2018  the retreat will take place November 17 & 18.  

The youth also be collect donations for the citywide Thanksgiving Blessing project.  So, remember to write a check or bring your cash! Your donations support our youth group's effort in this service to our community.


YTM

YTM stands for Youth Theology in Ministry These are  youth selected to attend  special two week sessions At St. John's College in Minnesota.

Our YTM participants  also share their YTM project presentations at all the masses on the Thanksgiving retreat weekend.


Souper Bowl

In late January each year our youth provide packets of soup makings.  These are made available to parishioners  for a free will donation after each mass during Super Bowl time.  Proceeds from this traditionally are chosen by the youth.

There would be no Faith Formation with out those willing to volunteer their  time ministering in this area ~
