Behind the scenes ministry needs
There are many behind the scenes opportunities or needs that occur only occasionally or things you can assist with once a year or once a week or only on occasion.
Holy Water Fountains
Sign up to clean the Holy Water fountains and then fill them with Holy Water. When the Holy Water receptacle is low refill with water and ask Father to bless it.
Soiled towels & dishcloths
Pick up the soiled towels and dish cloths from the kitchen and launder them
Check the albs (server’s robes)
Make sure then have been hung up, take soiled albs and launder them make sure they are back within a week
and towels used during mass. (currently being done)
Sign up to come in on Monday morning and count the collection. This is always a team effort. Usually 6 people, or you can sign up just to sub on occasion when the regular counters are gone on vacation.

St Anthony Knights of Columbus
are busy men and integral to the parish. From September to May they cook a yummy pancake breakfast the third Sunday of each month.
To kick-off Lent they host a fish fry.
They are the leaders and the cooks for our parish picnic. Once a year they host a n auction and spaghetti dinner. and they sell raffle ticket to help raise funds too.
The $$$ they contribute help our youth group and the parish over all.
There are flyers in the back of the church on how to become a Knight. Check out some of their work in the slide show.
On Holy Saturday there is always a need to have parishioners who will help decorate with the Easter memorial plants and keep them watered during the Easter Season
During Advent - Coordinating the Christmas Poinsettia memorial plants. This means selling them or gathering a team, to help sell, after each mass for one or possibly two weekends, arranging for pickup from Bells Nursery, placing the memorial or in honor of label on each one. Helping place them, if you are able and keeping them watered during the Christmas season, then disposing of them. You can gather a team to do any or all of this.
Getting involved not only helps our parish,
it is also a wonderful way to get to know other parishioners.
Ministry is all about relationships
Call John at the office 907-333-5544 if you can help once or twice a year.
